| 内容記述 | In this paper, I describe a presentation skills course within our Department of English that focuses on individual instruction. Due to the large number of students in the class, in a conventional classroom it would be difficult to teach, monitor, and assess all the students fairly. However, by creating an online course within which the students study at their own pace, the teacher is able to spend more time with individual students or small groups. Being a self-paced course, each student is an independent learner, so there is more emphasis on making students responsible for their own learning. Assessment is ongoing and transparent, so students can view their progress at any point. Using this format, we have found that students become much more confident and competent in giving presentations. | |||||||||||||
